The Hard-to-Replace Engineer
Audit your job task by task, practice on a checked pull request, and prove what the agent cannot merge alone
Who it's for
You are a mid-level software engineer on a product or backend team. Coding agents now open a lot of the pull requests. You want to know where your review still decides the outcome.
Instant download: the link arrives by email after checkout. Full refund within 14 days if you never download the files.
Will AI replace mid-level software engineers?
This kit does not guess. It helps you audit your role and build the mid-level engineer AI skills a green check cannot show.

How the practice case works
In The Friday Review, you are an engineer on the Billing team at Redline Scheduling, which sells software to auto-repair shops. The code host's agent opened a pull request for invoice discount codes. Its report says Ready to merge, and CI is green.
You check the report's twelve findings against the diff, the source and the sheets. Each gets one verdict: Supported, Contradicted, Not established or Needs specialist review. Then you write the review, with a merge decision, and a memo to your manager. There is nothing to run or install.
By week 13
- A task map of your own week, with a Hand off, Pair, Own or Cut call on every task.
- A finished, checked code review and memo you can show as a portfolio piece.
- Thirteen weekly sprints done, each with a kick-off and a review.
- A wins log, a review summary and a plan for the talk with your manager.
- Runway and adjacent moves to weigh, such as platform and SRE, security review, developer tooling or engineering management.
The honest part
This kit does not promise a job, a raise or a promotion, and no guarantee comes with it. The case company and its service are invented, so label your review as simulated practice. You read the case as PDFs, not in your editor. Named tools are examples, not endorsements.
Free updates, for as long as you own the kit
AI tools change fast, so the kits do too. We update every kit at least once a month, and often more than once. Every update is free.
You get an email with a fresh download link each time a new version is ready.
Before you buy
These kits help you plan and practice, and they do not promise any job, promotion or raise.
Downloads are final, except a file that will not open or a double charge, which we fix or refund.
